Amalia was born in 1981 in Santiago de Chile.

She studied painting and sculpture in Chile and Mexico and also studied ceramics with the Chilean ceramist Pilar Correa for more than 10 years and Criticism and Analysis of work with the Chilean artist Eugenio Dittborn.

Since 2017 she lives and works in Berlin.

Her imaginary worlds are attached to a basic and obsessive element: geometry and sacred patterns, ancient and beautiful patterns anchored in the collective unconscious.

In this way, Amalia seeks to create a relationship of correspondence; combining, mixing and uniting different symbols, to then tell another story whose purpose is to reveal an origin, a mystery, a new story that harbours a transcendental idea of union with the whole.

Her work has been exhibited in different Museums, Cultural Institutions and Galleries in Chile, Germany, Portugal, Latvia, Italy and the United States.

Her work is also part of private and public collections in Germany, Argentina, Italy and Chile.
